A few questions regarding Themes and Splash Screens
Hello,
I just installed Mandrake Linux 9.1 yesterday. When I download a theme I get a .tar.gz file. I extract it and sometimes I get a .ktheme file. How do you use these .ktheme files? I don't know how to install themes using that file.
A .ktheme file goes here. /home/user/.kde/share/apps/kthememgr/Themes
If the directory structure is not present then you need to create it
A .kcsrc file would go here, again you may have to create these directories
/home/user/.kde/share/apps/kdisplay/color-schemes.
A splash screen consists of various pics. You would need to dl a tarball and then unzip it to here
/home/usr/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics Again create what is not there
