[kopete] Build Failure

Building newest version (8.4) on FreeBSD 5 running KDE 3.3 (with kdelibs3 and all dependencies installed--up-to-date (CVSUPed) as of 2004-09-03). I'm getting this failure message from make after autoconf (no site-specific switches) finishes successfully:

Is this something specific to my site? If so, please advise how to get around the failure. I even tried to install previous version (8.2) with the same failure.

Thank you,
Zac

kde 3.3 comes with kopete 0.9 installed. It is available in the kdenetwork3 packages.
