you cant, if you mean avatars such as in msn 6 in windows. It hasnt yet been implemented in linux. there are plenty of resources available if you would like to try.

You'll have to wait till Kopete 0.8 comes out. (= will be in KDE 3.2)

Or... you could try the Kopete's 0.8 betas

Kopete in KDE 3.2 beta2 already supports pictures. You can see others pictures and define you own.

However to introduce MSN pictures the layout of the chat window suffered some changes to worst. If you want to see the pictures you will get a lot of unused space. I will look something like this

i just installed kopete 0.7.94 from cvs, and it works very nicely with display pictures.

but the size 96*96 is due to msn.

is it possible to disable the small icon, and to always keep it enlarged?
