Kopete doesn't start after update

I've been using Kopete for just some days, because it came with SuSE 8.2 and I liked it more than Gaim. Now I decided to update to new version (0.72 because there was not rpm:s for 0.73) I had 0.6.1a. After update Kopete didnt start anymore, It appeared to tray but after 1 sec it disappeared and I couldn't use it. When I tried the old version again it worked well. What's wrong ?

Try to start it from the console to see what's the matter.
It should dump out some error messages.
Additionally you can look at the backtrace via KDE Crashmanager (should start after an application died...)
Expect the worst, it's the least you can do.

I had this problem when I updated to the 0.7.3 version of KOpete on SuSE 8.2 using the SuSE RPMs. I found that updating my version of KDE to 3.1.4 using the SuSE RPMs solved the problem.
