kmail usage question

Hello KDE fans ;-),

I have some questions regarding the usage of kmail.

1) How do I browse through the e-mails by keyboard buttons ?

I tried the up and down key, but that would actually move the text of the displaye e-mail up and down, I would like to change from one e-mail to another using the up and down buttons, perhaps ther are some settings which I overlooked ?

2) When I create filters (f.e for spam) they are not applied to the incoming e-mails. I use an imap account - perhaps thats why - should I use pop ?

3) When I do a search I would like to mark and move all found messages to another folder, how d I do this ?

At present I can only move single messages which is a bit burdensome when the amount gets bigger.

I hope I didnt ask any obvious questions, I looked through the archive but did not find anything on this.

You were that close! ;-)
Try the left/right arrow keys.

BTW: If you want to look up an application specific shortcut
you can go to the shortcut menu.
Settings -> Configure Shortcuts

You're right, imap accounts cannot be filtered automatically.
I think it's possible to invoke a filter manually with Ctrl-j though.

I hear that better filter support for imap accounts will be
in KDE 3.2, BTW.

In a normal folder you can hold down the Ctrl key and mark several
messages at once. That doesn't seem to work for a search result.
But I guess you already knew that ;-)
Sorry, I don't know if it is possible...

Thanks for the reply

Thank you for the reply. It is much appreciated.
I tried so many things and set so many filters, but... they dont work for the imap account. Thats exactly what I thought, such a pitty. I will try the ctrl-j shortcut thing for the moment as a workaround.

Thanks once more for the short and precise info.
