XMMS playing MP3s too fast!

Hey everyone :)

I had a look at the XMMS forums but I didn't find anything concerning my problem (or I just entered the 'wrong' searching terms)...

XMMS somehow decided to play /some/ MP3 files way too fast! First I thought: well, i must have messed up something when I copied this CD to HDD. Then I tried to play the files with Kaffeine - works fine!
That seemed strange to me and I tried to find out with which MP3s XMMS has its problems... now, after having tested several albums, I found out that XMMS is only playing my Stephen-Hawking-Audiobooks too fast for no obvious reason.

I have to admit: I downloaded "A Brief History Of Time" 'illegally' from the Internet and thought: well, probably the dude ripping the CD was simply too stupid to create a working MP3 file -- so I downloaded the same CD again - from a different source, ripped by a different guy - same problem...

Kinda weird, right?
Did anybody in here experience something like this and found a solution?

Hi, I had that also, but what I've done is go to xmms settings and under sound drivers, keep changing it untill you find 1 driver that works. :D Let me know if you can't find the settings. I try to post a step by step intruction. 8)

Hm... I chose a SoundDriver of which I didn't even know that I installed it -but it works -- thanks!
