Kde 3.2 with Konstruct on Fedora Core 2 Test 1

I have 3 problems I am trying to resolve on kde 3.2

The first one is I can only access applications installed in kde 3.2 directory which is my home directory, anything else does not load. I do not get any error message when I open a terminal and try to load the application. Any help or pointers

The second one is I get this error everytime I reboot into kde 3.2 " Sound server fatal error: Cpu overload, aborting" courtesy of artsmessage. I have try to find a solution and I am clueless. Anyway I can disable it?

The third one is when I open a "Linux console" I get this error message about a font "-misc-console-medium-r-normal--1-160-72-72-c-80-iso10646-1" not found
check README.linux.console for help. Also trying to select another font, only gives me one option --fixed. What can I do. Do I have to install the font installer?

Either way this kde 3.2 is here to stay, I guess I will keep switching back and forth between the Fedora kde and the konstruct kde :x

1. Check out the environment variable $KDEDIRS -- http://wiki.kdenews.org/tiki-index.php?page=Environment+Variables

2. To disable it checkout -- kcontrol->Sound and Multimedia->Sound system->uncheck "enable the sound system" . But if you apps like noatun or juk(with arts backend) arts will be started.

3.Try installing the fonts in http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/kdebase/konsole/fonts/?sortby=date. The fonts listed there are (*.pcf.gz) the fonts konsole is not able to find and is giving an error message for.
For me I usually select custom font (font->custom) from settings menu and set it some other font such as "bitstream vera sans mono" (u will have this font if u have truetype fonts enabled and bitstream fonts package installed).
