KDM login error

KDM login error

I get the following error ( for any login ) , when i login via KDM.

The following error comes in a dialog box

" There is some critical error has occured , please refer to kdm.log or contact system administrator "

but kdm.log shows only normal entries.

Is there a solution to this ?

I have exactly the same error with KDE 3.1.4 which I installed from source. I have recompiled kdebase to no avail. I was wondering, since this was posted a while ago, if you have found the solution at all? I've searched all over the place!

I would suggest to report it to KDE Bugs, if it has not been reported yet.
