missing font anti aliasing in qt/kde

Hi there!

Maybe there is some pro out there who can help me...

I'm running Gentoo 1.4-rc3/XFree 4.3.0-r1/Qt 3.1.2/KDE 3.1.1. (everything compiled from scratch...)
my prob is the following:

In KDM i turned on AntiAliasing and chose some TrueType Font and I saw it worked, but when i log on whether as root nor as user, all i see is those crappy UnAntiAlisased fonts where you can count each pixel. I turned AA off and on again re-logged in, but that didn't change a thing. Also my KDE fonts are set to something TrueType, so everything should work fine, but it just don't.
I guess it's something with Xft config, but i have no Idea of how this works

:?:

maybe someone can help me? (I'm already missing my aa'd desktop as I am used to on my good ol' FreeBSD box still running kde 3.0.3 and xfree 4.2.0 :D

'till later

Chris.

What parameters did you use for compiling qt?

Äh parameter?

keine Ahnung, ich hab's einfach mit

"emerge -b /usr/portage/x11-libs/qt/qt-3.1.2.ebuild"

kompiliert, ein Binär-Paket erstellen lassen(mit -b) und installiert...
i kann da aber meine USE-Flags nachschaun' und postn...

Servas

Chris. (oda Ernstl, wiast wüst...) :P

And also for those of you who don't understand Austrish ;-)

Uh, parameters?

no idea, i simply did a

"emerge -b /usr/portage/x11-libs/qt/qt-3.1.2.ebuild"

compiled, created a binary package (with -b) and installed it...
but i can look up my USE-Flags for you and post 'em...

bye

Chris
