Problem with Sound, pls help!

Hey yesterday i installed Kubuntu 11.10, because i wanted to try something else, because i wanted to get rid of windows.
Everything worked i installed some applications and today i saw a message that said that i should update something.
I updated it and it stuck at the installation part. I think 60% of the installation was completed. And later i installed teamspeak and i wanted to talk to my friend but the microphone didnt work. i saw a video on youtube how to fix it i tried it out.

I edited something in alsa-base.conf. And then i wanted to reboot but the installation of the updates didnt allow me to shut down and I turned off my PC manually.
I started Kubuntu and it said something like searching for harddrive errors.
After that i logged in and my standard keyboard layout was changed to English but normally i dont use english.
Then i realised that i have no audio.

I dont know how to solve this problem, because i am a beginner.
Please help me out! :S
