KDE is trying to monopolize the desk top like MicroSoft did.

All you Europeans should remember the anti trust trial about Microsoft and IE. Microsoft claimed IE could not be removed from windows because it was the foundation of many of windows functions. Well guess what Dolphin is now the foundation of the KDE desktop. So KDE is trying to monopolize their hold on everything that runs on KDE. I find this disgusting. And it is doomed to fail just as MS attempt failed. Add that to the horrible implementation of KDE4 and you have a total loser of a desktop.

I have already dumped Kubuntu to go back to Slackware because Slackware is much easier to change desktops. Now I am checking out what desktop I will be using. And it won't be KDE that is for sure.

quit yo jiba jaba

WTF are you talking about? If you dont like dolphin dont use it i only use konqueror. I have to admit that i havent botherd trying to remove dolphin but given that all the widgets & filemanegment is done by libraries needed for other programs so at most youd save a couple of hundred kb, ( but you could just delete those jpgs of your mum instead). This is nothing like the IE issue, because if you dont like the core of KDE you can just use rox or natilus or firefox as your filemanager.

Oh right you a slackware user :O, all hail your 1337ness for not using tools to manage your system, last time i checked changing desktops in kubuntu was fairly simple. apt-get install fluxbox, logout, select fluxbox, login, its not rocket science and works for GNOME/XFCE/*box/Enlightenment.

O btw before all you 1337 slackware kids get offeneded and stop using KDE id like to state that i have nothing to do with KDE and was just browsing these forums but the above post was sooo retarded it warented a reply.
