How Change Monitor Resolution

OK ... I give up

What is the name of the applet that I can use to change the monitor resolution?

I must be getting old because I can not figure out how to change it.

In case you have have not figured it out yet .. I am new to both KDE and Linux.

krandrtray not in any menu

Thanks for the help and suggestion but I can not find krandrtray on any menu. I did some brief research and it sounds like it should be there but I do not see it. Nor do I see an download for it anywhere. I also do not find it in Add/Remove by the way.

Do you have a suggestion?

Assuming you're used to Windows, you can think of a shell as a command prompt. Start it with Alt+F2, typing in konsole. A black screen then appears with a promt at which you can enter commands or run programs. Now type in krandrtray followed by enter and you should get a new system tray icon. You can now exit this shell with exit.

You could also have done it by starting krandrtray directly from the Run Command screen, but now you also know how to start and use a shell

It Worked

Ronald, your a genius ... it works perfectly.

I go back to the days of the Apple III and PC's that were DOS ... using this will be comfortable for me.

Now I am going to go play with the resolution!
