konqueror mp3 question

I am relatively new to the linux world and still learning. My question concerns the ability of Konqueror to show all the mp3 info when opening a folder that contains these music files. I have attempted to choose different options under "view" in the toolbar. But what I continue to get is just the name of the song; no artist, length, bit rate, etc. What is really peculiar is that out of 100 songs, maybe 2 will show all the info. It's not a tagging problem since all the meta data shows when the cursor hovers over the file. Hope I have explained well enough for a guru to understand my question.

Thanks,
teddyred

with konqueror you go to your mp3-containing folder and select in the menu bar:

View > View Mode > Info List View

With this I get all mp3-info with the directory listing
Debian Linux, mix of stable, testing and unstable; KDE with Compiz Fusion >=0.52 (git)

Yes, mdc, I know all info shows when selecting that view option. But I didn't explain well enough I suppose.
The folder containing the mp3 files are on a secondary drive which linux labels mnt/win_d. When the mp3 files are copied to my linux home partition, all the info shows. So apparently Konqueror will not show the meta data when reading from this secondary drive. Only the file name shows. I don't suppose there's a way to get Konqueror to pretend it's win explorer? Guess that would be asking too much.

Thanks for your response,
