Mac OS Style Menu Panel for taskbar

Would you like the Mac Os-Style Menu to be more versatile?

I'm always looking for ways to make best use of my screen space. Turning on the Mac OS-Style Menu bar removes redundant menus from inactive windows but the Menu bar stretches across the whole screen.

I would like to see the ability to add the Mac OS-style menu to the panel in the same way that the taskbar panel can be added or removed.

Anyone else feel the same or is there a way to do this already?

RE: Mac OS Style Menu Panel for taskbar

if access to this bar can be tied into a general windows key (such as the way mac works). nowadays most of the keyboards have "win" key which can be nicely hijacked for this purpose :P In fact, it this bar should work like a normal panel and dissapear if it is not in use even better. This may be confusing for an initial user, but anyone using kde on a laptop (where desktop real estate is prime), will appreciate such a feature.

nah

I think the Kicker is just fine the way it is.. you can put it anywhere you want, make it any color you want, put most anything you want, and make more panels to save space. Plus i don't think we should try to mimic Mac or Windows, Linux should be unique and attractive.
