automount usb-storage devices synchronal

Hi,

when I plug in an USB-storage device it gets automatically mounted. This is nice.

Is there a way to set additional mount parameters? I want them to be mounted with the sync-option.

Then you should define that in /etc/fstab with the 'sync' option.

But /etc/fstab is for static mount points (and my one actually consists only of two lines for / and /proc).

When I plug in an usb-device it will be "magically" mounted at /media/phone or something like that.

Hi,

I have discover something : If you don't want the automatically mounting of your usb device, you have to do that in the kde environment :
- open Konqueror
- select the icon called "storage media" on the left side.
- your usb key must be shown on the window (on the right side). Then right click on your usb key and chose "Properties"
- you can deselect the "automatically mounting" by left clicking on a check box if you want, changing the automatic mount point, and adding the Synchronous option.

PS : sorry for my bad english, but I hope that informations will help you.

the automounting is part of the submount-deamon, isn't it?

so you may have to configure your submount-deamon

but i'm not sure
