Multiple IMAP Resources for Kontact?

Hi, switched to KDE about a month ago and love it!

I do need some help with Kontact's IMAP Resource / Groupware option. Essentually, I want multiple IMAP Resources - some for work, some for personal, some private and some shared.

This way I can share a calander, address book, ect with my secratary via a shared IMAP mail account AND still have my private data in a seperate IMAP mail account.

We are looking in to several bonifide groupware servers, but for now....

Can I run multible instances of Kmail? Currently on I have too logins on my Debian machine just so I can run two Kontacts - but what a pain.

Thank you and BR / dutler

RE: Multiple IMAP Resources for Kontact?

why would you need multiple instances of kontact ??
you can have as many different (imap-) ressources/identities as you like in _one_ instance.
just go ahead and configure them.

hoernerfranz, thank you for the reply.

This is my expectation and what I ultimately want. BUT when I the configure KMail groupware option I am given the choice of only one email box to use as an IMAP Resource, even though I have several IMAP accounts.

I check the KDE Resources, hoping it will allow me to use a separate IMAP account, but it is all dependant on KMail settings.

I need multiple IMAP Resources from multiple accounts. I suppose I could put all the data in on IMAP account, but need to control access.

So, can I have multiple ressources/identities associated with multiple email accounts?

multiple IMAP resources

At this point, you might want to (re)post your question to the mailing lists for the KDE PIM project. Try kdepim-users@kde.org, the developers usually read that list as well and you're more likely to get an answer there.
