Quoted from "mart_k" You can change the file ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc. There is a group [Minicli] which contains the history. If you change the mistake there, I think (I haven't test it) that then the mistakes is changed in the dialog. Yes it works, under Minicli there is also a line that begins with History[$e]... from which I deleted the mistake and after a X restart it worked... thanks
Yep, I know the difference with firefox password manager and KDEWallet, but I was mentioning as an example to ask for the Master Password/Wallet Password to visually display the passwords on screen. I haven't submitted a bug because I thought I was doing something wrong... I'll submit a bug report then, thanks, Mguel
Is there a way to make kdewallet not to display (to anyone) passwords when that particular wallet is open (in use by an app)? For example, I have kwallet to store my kopete passwords. I usually have kopete running so theat wallet is open too almost all the time I have my laptop turned on. In this situation anyone (ie while I go to the toilet) can view all my passwords stored on kwallet: Kmenu -> Setting -> Security & Privacy -> KDE wallet -> Launch Wallet Managet -> Open wallet (as the wallet is...
Quoted Originally posted by davewithheld... I keep getting KIOExec error, "/media/cdrom is a folder, but a file was expected" when I select the option I set up to play with Xine I get the same error when select to open in new window a data cd. "/media/cdrom0 is a folder, but a file was expected." I've tried to modify ivmConfigActions.xml with no luck, but I'm not sure if this file has something to do. Thanks in advance, Mguel PS: Kubuntu 5.10, KDE 3.5.1
I have the same inconvinience as you... I have all important folders which I want to be at the top of the list with a "_" character (i.e. "_Drivers") but on Konqueror they just omit that character when sorting. As a work around I have added a cero in front, and it make it work on windows also ("0_Drivers"), although I would prefer simply the "_" or your "!" Cheers, Mguel
Quoted Originally posted by mart_k You can do something like that with Source code 1 dcop kdesktop KScreensaverIface lock It locks the screen, so it will ask for a password to disable the screensaver. Thanks! I would prefer a way without locking the screen though. Mguel
Is there a way to manually start the screensaver? (The equivalent to xscreensaver-command -activate) Thanks, Mguel
I wanted to ask how to set Default View mode for removable media: I have set the default profiles of konqueror (file manager, web, etc) to use the "Tree view". Every time I use a removable media (pen drive/data cd-dvd), whether with the auto open, or if I open it from the desktop, it opens it with the "Icon view". And even worst, after setting to Tree mode, every time I move to a folder inside the pendrive I get again the Icon view. I have even created a new profile "removable" (where I set tree...
