How to make autostart for everyone?

The system-wide autostart folder for KDE ist /usr/share/autostart. Some .desktop-files should already be there, provided by KDE or your distro. Kicker is started from there, for example. You could also add your .desktop-file to the template folder for new users. That is /etc/skel. Everything in this folder is copied to /home/<username> when a new user is created. At least in Fedora. I don't know if it is distro-specific. cepheus

[kopete] Off the Record Plugin

Quoted Despite the lack of interest... I'm also very interested. I just wanted to wait and see, there's not much I can do to help. Except for some words of motivation. Maybe there are much more passive readers.

RE: Quanta and FC^

You should try the KDE-Redhat Repository. They have more recent and more stable KDE packages than "stock" FC. Just add the repository and the GPG key to your yum-Repositories, their website has instructions how to do that. After that, a "yum update" should update all your KDE packages because the versions in the new repository are more recent. This can take some minutes... Try if their version of quanta runs better

RE: Quanta and FC^

Which Quanta Package do you use? The "official" kdewebdev Package from FC6? KDE-Redhat? Separate Quanta Package or self-compiled? I have KDE completely from KDE-Redhat, including kdewebdev-Package and I can run Quanta without problems. Do you edit PHP files? There is a Crashlog which looks very similar to yours in a known Bug on Bugzilla: Quanta crashes regularly when editing PHP files

RE: Gtk Styles problem

Hi, I noticed the same problem and checked the environment of a GTK app while is was running: GTK applications which are run from the K-Menu or Desktop know these two environment variables: Source code 1 2 GTK2_RC_FILES=/etc/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:~/.gtkrc-2.0:~/.kde/share/config/gtkrc-2.0 GTK_RC_FILES=/etc/gtk/gtkrc:~/.gtkrc:~/.kde/share/config/gtkrc When i export these two values in the shell before running a GTK app, then it works, the colors are correct. KDE saves the colors for GTK-apps in ~/.kde/sh...

Kopete not accepting GPG password

Hello, I have a problem with Kopete and ICQ and GnuPG: I cannot decrypt Messages which are encrypted with my public PGP key. The password dialog shows up, but the correct password is not accepted. After 3 tries I get the encrypted message in the chat window. I know the password is correct - it works with Thunderbird and the Enigmail Extension. I use kopete from kdenetwork-3.4.0-3 on Fedora Core 4 (kernel 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4), KDE version is 3.4.2-0.fc4.1 RedHat Can anyone help me with this? Thanks...
