Konqueror: folder synchronization

Being addicted to Konqueror, I am in search for a way to synchronize folders with Konqueror. Sad enough, I do not find any possibility. Does anyone know a way to do this? Or do I have to stick with something else than Konqueror?

KNetworkManager cannot find any network devices

I know, the problem has been posted some time ago. Nevertheless, one possible reason for knetworkmanager's behaviour could be that you are missing some rights. You should be in a group called "netdev". Run knetworkmanger from commandline for error messages.

RE: [Kopete] This webcam WORKS

Quoted Originally posted by bongwater I think it would be helpful if there was a running thread of webcams that are known to work with Kopete. Good idea! So, here is the information about my webcam, which works flawlessly with the gscpa module. It's a genius webcam, which was quite cheap (I don't remember how much it was, but it wasn't expensive). The webcam is called CamLook312p.

kmail: "starting tls failed"

I don't think that this is a bug in KMail. Try installing the openSSL packages from SUSE10.1. This should solve your problems. openSSL openSSL-devel @ag You do not need to uninstall the openSSL packages. You may "update" your packages with the "rpm" command. Something like "rpm -U --oldpackage /path/to/openssl/package.rpm" should do this.

Konqueror: user-agent

Is there any way to change Konqueror's user-agent globally? I know that you can set the user-agent for specific domains. But I would like Konqueror to identify as e.g. Firefox on EVERY domain. Sadly enough, it is not a solution to disable the sending of an user-agent string completely, as a lot of websites won't work correctly anymore. Thank you in advance.

kmail: "starting tls failed"

Well, all I can tell you, is that I had the same problem after my upgrade from SUSE10.1 to openSUSE10.2. "Starting TLS failed", but only with one server, which is running Mercury/32. I could connect to other servers without problems (using TLS) (one of these servers is running uw-imap, I don't know wich software the other server uses). So I installed the openSSL-packages from SUSE10.1, everything works fine now. I did once update openSSL after there were updates available for openSUSE10.2, but t...

[kopete] error in metacontact view

Well, you do not really need them anymore, but I would a least keep kopete.po, just in case I need to compile it once again. Is the metacontact-info now formatted correctly?

[kopete] error in metacontact view

Simply issue the following command on Konsole: Source code 1 wget http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/branches/stable/l10n/de/messages/kdenetwork/kopete.po The next step is compiling the file Source code 1 msgfmt kopete.po -o kopete.mo You need to install the package "gettext" in order to have "msgfmt" available. Then copy the resulting file to the mentioned location.

[kopete] error in metacontact view

In fact, you only need to update the i18n-file for kopete, which is located in /opt/kde3/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/kopete.mo download http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/branche…twork/kopete.po and the use the following command to build your kopete.mo-file: Source code 1 msgfmt kopete.po -o kopete.mo Place the resulting file in opt/kde3/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/ and be sure to back up the existing file (if there is an existing file).

You probably need the correct i18n package for your distribution and KDE version. I had the same problem after I updated my KDE installation and missed the i18n package. After installing the updated i18n package, the problem was gone.

[kopete] Looking for RPM with Voice Support in 0.12.2

There is video support for MSN and Yahoo! in Kopete. Audio support in Kopete is for jabber only. When chatting with someone on jabber, whose client hat support for voice converstaions, the chatwindow shows an icon in the toolbar (looks like a headset). This icon starts a voice conversation. You may also start the voice conversation via the context menu of the contact in your contactlist (open the menu with the right mouse button). If you do not see the menu entry for "voice call", the RPM has pr...

[kopete] Unobtrusive MSN connect errors

As far as I know, you only have to activate the mentioned plugin ("connection status") and make sure that you do not have "connect at startup" activated (this option is in the section "Behaviour" of the configuration window). I can't tell you how the plugin determines if you are connected to the internet or not, I don't know.

[kopete] Unobtrusive MSN connect errors

There is a module called "connections status" (or similar). If you activate this plugin, Kopete will check if you are connected to the internet and won't try to connect your accounts if you are not connected to the internet.
