You mean if the image comes from a url. I mean to reject images copied into the mail.

To konquer spam I would suggest two options: Rejecting mail having images inline Now showing images inline

RE: Run script at KDE login

I seemed to have made a program start on login by dragging the executive file it to the .kde/Autostart folder creating a symbolic link using konqueror. It gets listed in the TOP command, so it must be ok. Of course if I log into Icewm it won't work.

RE: evolution/revolution

Normally you would develop a 'new' logo by abstractiing the old, so there is some recognizable element but it is being modernized. BTW I don't agree it has to be changed. Let's keep the eye on the ball.

Customizing the taskbar

When customizing the taskbar with background images or colors, we can't change all of the settings in one go. We have to enter for each of: K-menu Hide Menues Appearence Task bar and panel background. This should be easier and all in one operation.

RE: Kmail - reply issue

I think you can select an external editor for the job hence you can find one that deosn't add an extra line perhaps.

Voice control

I think introducing voice control would be fun. Some basic stuff like open new window, save file etc with additional mouse use of course. Just as a start.

Dynamics

Would be neat to have self-organizing bookmarks using information from the web page or via a list of discrete terms. Of course the user should be able to turn it on and off. The system should also on intervals check if the links work, in periods where the system is not being used. Perhaps Konqueror could suggest other websites based on how long time was spent on each webpage.

KDE Light

I think it is most important to keep it fast and stable rather than beating the brain to add some new feature. Perhaps marketing some of the more hidden features would be an idea. People can only cope with so many features. Perhaps a KDE light was in order to compete with the alternative window managers. And how about a KDE for kids going beyond themes.

[solved] Lost background colors

Probably through an accidental strike on the keyboard I lost any background color or image on the websites and only have white; The configuration menu doesn't seem to have any option of controlling the background colors or images? /.kde/share/config/konquerorrc gives nothing What do I do please. Great, got it back by playing around in the Main bar: Configuration-Display- Profile-Web browsing. It suggests different views in Konqueror like Midnight Commander (two panels). This line was translated ...

other kmail path

Well, it seems to work when using /dev/sda1 but not /dev/sdb1 I entered folders=/mnt/sda1/ in the said file. a1 is a usb pen drive, sdb1 is a usb hard disk. It's fine if it works with the small drive on 30MB for ordinary mails. Still the same, it should be a configurable option from the menus in kmail. By the way I could copy all /Mail to sda1 but not to sdb1 sda1 is ext3, sdb1 i VFAT. Thanks for your help.

RE: Can someone help mw witha step by step totally novice proof guide to installing KDE 3.4

Try to see if this will help you: http://www.andamooka.org/reader.pl?pgid=…velch01lev1sec5 However new as you are I wouldn't do it. I would wait for a later version of your distro with 3.4 on it.

Try Control Center - Peripherals - Display. Restar your session. You have to be root to change it.

other kmail path

Quoted Originally posted by anda_skoa kwriteconfig --file kmailrc --group General --key folders /mnt/sdb1/ Cheers, _ Alas there is no --group General --key folders Did you add it or what? I added the line keyfolders=/mnt/sdb1/ to no avail. Did you try the above or it is merely a suggestion or speculation? On the other hand in kdeglobals there is lines: [Paths] Documents=/mnt/sdb1 (beause I entered in the work path at the short cut) Trash=$HOME/Desktop/Trash/ but it didn't cut it anyhow.

RE: other kmail path

This was possible to do with the mail client Sylpheed, which also is a bit faster than kmail. 1) Moved the Sylphhed mailbox to ext. usb drive /mnt/sdb1/ 2) Entered workpath=/mnt/sdb1/Mail in the shortcut lin on the taskbar menu from where I start Sylpheed. However kmail ought to be able to store and work in anywhere.

RE: KMail to Thunderbird

Another solution could be to print each mail to a file (pdf) and store them for reading in the same folders in konqueror.
