Is there a HOw-To for updating KDE to 3.4.1?

Sorry to be annoying. when I run ./configure I get the error checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.3) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation! For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log. I have qt 3.3 installed. I know it's going to be something stupid I'm doing, but please help..
