RE: [kopete] kiosk config for kopete

you'd have to run some sort of script so that the $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kopete folder and the kopeterc file in $HOME/.kde/share/config are deleted when a user closes kopete or logs out of KDE, or however it works there at your cafe. I don't know if you can do this with kiosk or not though.

Kdevelop/QT Designer Tutorial: Build>Install Fails

if you install to /opt/kde3 or someother place where your user does not have access, you will need to install as root. There is a menu item in the build menu for this in KDevelop, if i remember correctly.

n00b questions about Kopete

use the opensuse build service. IIRC, it has packages for Kopete 0.12.1 which is not the latest. It may have packages for Kopete 0.12.2 already as well, but i don't know.

[kopete] Webcam configuration save

this would appear to be a bug. Please file this at http://bugs.kde.org so we don't lose track of it. If you can try 0.12.1 to see if it's fixed in that release beforehand, that would be best. Thanks

RE: New d-bus 0.90

you should stick with dbus 0.62 since they contain the qt bindings in the dbus source.

RE: [Kopete] Compiling kopete with Simply MEPIS

did you install the Qt development packages? Those are required in order to compile Kopete. You might try something like 'apt-get build-dep kopete' from the command line and see if that helps.

RE: Kdevelop - mingw32

it would appear you're trying to run a windows executable on linux, and this is not possible unless you use wine or some other such project. Since you can't hook wine into configure, i'm afraid the only option you have is to run ./configure in your mingw environment under windows

RE: About Indentation In Kate

You can't configure indentation to do this. The second line that is created when the word wrap kicks in is not a new line at all, but just a continuation of the previous line. If you were to turn off the word wrap feature, the text that previously wrapped would just continue on the same line, and a horizontal scroll bar would appear

RE: Other software? Well GAIM! Problem with spelling check

You should probably ask the gaim folks, since gaim will use the gtk or gnome spell checking support.

RE: Kopete, command line and sending files

no, kopete will not take commands for sending files, at least not from when being run from the command line. if kopete is already running, you might be able to use DCOP for this.

RE: [kopete] Setting away status (solved)

Actually, it's all available from the top. Next to the icon that sets the away status for all accounts is a way to set the message for all accounts as well. We just offer a way to set it from both the top and the bottom

[SOLVED] [Kopete] configuration messed up

IIRC, there was some bug at some point in time that caused this to happen. The bug is fixed now (i think it was in kdelibs or something like that, can't remember) so you shouldn't have this problem anymore.

[Kopete] 0.12.0 suggestions

this is not the place to report bugs. use bugs.kde.org for that, but since you've already reported these issues to kopete-devel@kde.org you should already be aware of the solutions.
