Every time I make a new folder icon it pops up a network samba link icon. Not sure how it happened but I've tried replacing the icon but the next icon pops up the same. Also, changing the icon theme does not change it back either.... it's stuck like white on rice!!! I have tried reemerging kde-base (gentoo) but it's back when I boot in.
I've got 2 video cards that do 2 separate x sessions to for one dual monitor xinerama desktop. Shadows and effects handled by the nvidia cards do not work. In fact the primary screen goes black and the secondary screen is visible but nothing works on it. I'm not sure if this is an X11 issue or a KDE issue but I thought I'd at least post it.

Yes I can from su with this: mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom The fstab entry looks ike this: dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,ro,exec, users 0 0 When I insert an disk or dvd with files on it I get "invalid filesystem type" error from KDE. But... If I insert a cd that's been burned as an "iso" KDE opens it and sees everything fine.
I mean when I try to open up a cd-rom disc that has files burned to it.... say mp3's or jpeg\s KDE gives me an error that says "invalid filesystem type".

I have a dual head video card (ATI FireGL X1 256p) and I'm trying to configure it to use multiple monitors. Both monitors come up but instead of having one desktop between both monitors I have 2 separate KDE sessions for each monitor!!! I have tried using the video card's config program to try and configure the two head to be one desktop but nothing seems to get rid of the second KDE session. How do I stop this second session from starting?
