System Notification Sounds

OK, Same here, have done as suggested in knotify.rc, but can still only play .wav files as system sounds. As kde3.3 seems to use .ogg files now, I would like to be able to play these as well. Any more suggestions? Also, this may be related. Mouseover playing of audio files in konqueror no longer works either, so any help here to please.

KDM broken, reboots Xserver, no desktop environments

Well, I have been using Mandy 10.0 since it came out with KDE3.2 with no problems. BUT, I have solved this as follows:- Renamed the file /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc with a .old extension,(a throwback to windoze), then renamed /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc.rpmnew to kdmrc. Reboot, and bob's you uncle. It all works again.

I can still successfully use GDM to choose my DE, but would prefer to use KDM. This has manife...

Unable to play .wav files using mouseover, or in knotify!

Hi all, Have asked this on a number of other forums, but so far no definative answer, so here goes. This of course opens the mini-browser at the default /usr/share/sounds directory. This directory I know is full of the kde .wav files. But none of them s...
