apt-get

Just look for apt for suse, and synaptic... with synaptic you got a front end for apt-get... and the repositories.. there you find everything you need, and can upgrade every rpm you have installed if there's a newer version on one of the repositories.. it even finds all the depencies.. for you

I got the student license!! is the best.. looks good, no real big issues.. that doesn't function... runs quite fast.. even on 700 mhz...

I saw the rpms, with synaptic, cause I like to use the repositories... there you can find the newest rpms, and upgrades... but haven't used them... waiting till somethings are tested,

remove language boards

I think you can look at the size of the boards, and keep the boards that are most active...or just make a single language, page where they all can post questions.

mandrake and konstruct

I have the same problem, as you describe. But I'am a newbie at linux, and my first attempt to build KDE trough Konstruct. I can't fiqure out how to install the lines as you say in bashrc, or for that matter any where else... can you give me more details, on how to get KDE 3.1.2 to work on Mandrake 9.1
