Tabs In Konqueror File Manager

Hi, When viewing documents like .pdf in Konqueror is it possible to open them in tabs in the same window? I would like to be able to view a number of documents like web pages in the browser. Thanks

Sony Clie via Kpilot

I'm using SuSe 9.1 with KDE 3.2.3 to link to my Clie. I have had no real problems with syncing. Kpilot is using /dev/ttyUSB0 Perhaps an upgrading your software might help!

Kmail and Opera

On moving from Windows to Linux I found that I could not let Opera go... So I now have it installed on my SuSe 9.1 system. Anyone have an idea how I can make it so that when I click on a url in Kmail it opens Opera instead of Konqueror? I have it working in the other direction, but can't workout the reverse. Cheers Alec

K3b unable to copy

It could be a SCSI emulation problem. I am not to sure what to do about it, because I don't know what LINUX you are using nor what version of KDE.

KDE Tricks

I read the original article and followed LS Texeira's trick related to KGPG problem with passphrases - a problem I have been struggeling with for some time. The trick is to extend .xintrc with a given script. The result was that the passphrase problem was solved, but KDE became unstable. It seem to boot-up twice. When you loged-off it would imediately boot-up again, and you would have to log-off again. Also the graphics became increasingly unstable, and some things worked on one boot-up and not ...

Kmail Regular Expression Editor

Hi I have just upgraded to KDE3.1.3 on Suse 8.2. I make use of the excellent Regular Expression Editor in setting-up filters in Kmail. I have just noticed that the editor has lost its editing icons since the upgrade. The buttons are still there but the graphics telling you what they are for has gone. Anyone got any ideas as to the nature of the problem and any fixes they can point me towards? Cheers

K3b not recognizing CDROM

The problem is that K3b will not work with and APTI drive. If you look at your other CDR you will see that it sees it as a SCSI drive. You need to setup SCSI emulation on the other drive as well.

kinternet already running

Your problem is loging in as root. Root is for system admin only, and many features like kinternets systray icons don't work there. You need an ordinary account for yourself for every day use. You only go into root when you need to make significant system changes and you know what you are doing... Root is not designed for normal every day use.

Kinternet

You could use Yast to reset your modem/ISDN/ADSL and ISP settings this restarts Kinternet. This might effect the Icon. Works for me everytime I muck things up
