Quoted Original von MKairys Quoted Original von Ricky Here's how to use apt and kde with redhat : http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/ Thank you, but the above source does not have KDE 3.2 available as yet. They are now
I just noticed theres a new version of the 0.7 branch (0.7.4) which has the MSN fix posted on kopete.kde.org
It's the 'Yellowdog Updater Modified'. It can also be used with RedHat as an alternative to up2date - it's far more simple and easier to use IMHO
A description of what actually happens would help us help you.
SuSE rpms can be found here... http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=liquid
I'm not sure about DCOP but htmldoc does a pretty good job of rendering HTML to either PDF or postscript, see... http://www.easysw.com/htmldoc HTH
Assuming you are using KDM as your login manager, open up a control center...
Navigate to System administration -> Login manager Click on administrator mode (unless you are running as root) Select the sessions tab Change allow shutdown to 'everybody'[/list:u] I don't think this takes effect until you restart KDM HTH
Hi Bill, Can you give us some specifics? Like can you start KDE at all? or perhaps KDE is now behaving strangely? Also it may help if we know what distribution/version you are using. Scott
I'm guessing fortune? or perhaps kfortune?
Do you get any errors when starting konqueror from the shell? If so please post them, and we might get a better idea of what is happening.
Quoted However forcing it to remove shouldn't cause any problems unless you want to use atlantikdesigner from kdeaddons. The only dependency in kdeaddons is atlantikdesigner see above
Seems very odd, here's a couple of suggestions: When you check the CSV file is there anything odd about the 11th or 12th record, a badly quoted string? a dangling apostrophe? a strange character? Try importing the CSV file into OOo Calc (or similar) to check if there are any errors and if there aren't try exporting it to a new csv file and then try to import that in the kaddressbook. Good luck
There's a spot of dependency trouble when you attempt this... Right click on the icon Choose properties and then the execute tab, then change the command field to what you want
It certainly should be possible out of the box. You need to place the cursor over the desktop switcher and then move the scroll button.
When compiling for RH9, I always use... [code:1]./configure --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt-3.1 --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`[/code:1] Which works every time. But it took several attempts to work this out.
Do you mean to protect your RH9 box or to run on the Linux box protecting windows boxes? There isn't really any viruses that are a danger to Linux at all, there have been 'proof of concept' written but you are extremely unlikely to come accross any in the wild. There are plenty of products available that will do server based virus checking for Linux but I've never tried them so I can't comment on their usefulness.
Synaescope itself is a visualisation program available in AlsaPlayer and as a plug-in for XMMS based on the Synaesthesia program. The word has been invented so doesn't really mean anything other than the program itself, I guess the developers were alluding to 'Kaleidoscope' when naming it.
There are some security holes that have been patched which should be reason enough for an upgrade! The changes between 3.1 and 3.1.3 are mainly bug fixes and theres a hell of a lot them! If theres a bug that annoys you in 3.1 the chances are it'll have been fixed. And finally to help improve KDE it helps if you are using the latest version so that you can file relevant bug reports.
