Unfortunately, yes I do have Windows installed on four of my computers. So basically, I can just copy the Windows fonts on to disk and then install them in Linux? Where's the Linux font folder? The current fonts I have, even with antialiasing switched on, at sizes over about 12pt the letter "o" looks like a cog in Konqueror (and probably other programs as well).
Where do I get better fonts from? Is there any way of downloading Windows fonts for Linux? It's just that very few websites include Linux fonts on their pages, so it gets a bit boring seeing everything in Helvetica all the time.
Hmmm, I did that... but the fonts still look horrendous.
ICQ used to be my favourite, until the ICQLite client started comming with built in ads. I use Gaim at the moment, but I'll probably use Kopete next week.
I know this is a bit strange... but anyway. I've noticed that dashed borders are much longer (i.e. each individual dash is about half an inch long, instead of about a tenth on an inch) than they are in other browsers, such as Netscape/Mozilla, IE and Opera. Basically, I want to know if there's anyway of changing the length of these borders via a userContent.css stylesheet (or whatever it's called in Konqueror) or by any other way. Is this possible, or do I have to stick with ugly long dashes?
I've never used any form of Linux other than SuSE 8.2, but it works brilliantly with KDE and makes it look even more beautiful with SuSE graphics with are slightly different from the standard KDE ones. Just don't get SuSE if you intend to use Gnome.
Thanks! I'd feared that it wasn't possible as I'd read a message on another forum that "Konqueror was the worst browser ever, because it doesn't antialias fonts".
Can anyone tell me how to antialias fonts in Konqueror, or where I can get an extension that will antialias fonts in Konqueror? Thanks! ^_^
Oooh, Kontact looks good... maybe I will eventually persuade my dad to ditch AOL so I can have internet on my Linux computer.
