for about a week i've been having a problem with compilation of kde-pim from cvs. the error is still the same: [code:1] /bin/sh ../libtool --silent --mode=compile --tag=CXX g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../libkdenetwork -I../libkdepim -I../libksieve -I../mimelib -I../ktnef -I.. -I/usr/kde/3.2/include -I/usr/qt/3.2/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_REENTRANT -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -W -Wpointer-arith -Wwrite-strings -ansi -D_XO...
i hve compiled kde cvs from the source and i liked the crystal theme which was there by default. next i tried crystal svg 1.0 and i must admit that it much worse! folder icons are just ugly and colors are too much saturated. I'll miss good old crystal (i think 0.6) :-(
i did it like that and it works great: 1.add an entry in fstab like this: [code:1] /dev/sda1 /mnt/pendrive vfat user,noauto,rw 0 0 [/code:1] if you have different filesystem on your pendrive, change vfat to something else, also if you have any scsi harddisks change /dev/sda1 to appropriate device name 1a. create directory /mnt/pendrive 2.create new harddisk icon on a desktop (device: /dev/sda1) 3.plug your pendrive in 4.click icon you've created 5.pendrive will automatically mount and open in ko...
what distro do you use? do you have cups installed? you should check www.linuxprinting.org and www.cups.org
first of all i think that you try to start kde as root which is not a good idea. does the same problem occurs when you start it as a normal user?
hi! I use mandrake 9.1 and i think it's great! I've been using this distro for about 3 or 4 years (since v. 6.2) and the improvement is impressing. I think that when using Mandrake it is very important ot have PLF, texstar and contrib added to urpi source. When you have it - you can install a lot of new things without compiling. I'm also a "compilation freak" so I use kde 3.1.2 compiled from the source. I must admit that idea behind gentoo is great and I must test it in a near future :-) best re...
i've compiled 3.1.1a and kprinter doesn't crash any more! i still get this message: kdecore (KSocket): ERROR: KExtendedSocket::connectionEvent() called but no data available! but now it doesn't matter :-) best regards y
when I want to print from any of the KDE applications kprinter crashes a moment after it displays itself. when I start it from a konsole, I get: Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0". kdecore (KSocket): ERROR: KExtendedSocket::connectionEvent() called but no data available! GLX missing is due to uninstalled nvidia drivers, but I think it's not important (maybe I'm wrong) I use Mandrake 9.1 and CUPS with all current updates installed. Pri...
two things I miss in konqueror are: - gestures - anyone who used opera knows how great this feature is. it's really useful and saves a lot of needles mouse moves and a lot of clicks. - search fields like in mozilla or opera - in my opinion it's better to have such search fields that enter for example ggl: in www address field. Search fields might be in panel on the left where history, bookmarks and other things are located. i can't wait to see this features soon (i hope ) best regards yemu
