[Kopete]User Info and Buddy Icons

Is it possible to set my user profile for AIM through Kopete? I can´t seem to find that option and I have to do it through Gaim, which is a hassle, since I´m switching between two IM programs. Also, on the same note, can I set my buddy icon? If so, where? I can´t see my buddies´ icons either.

Drop shadow for windows in KDE?

Baghira, as far as I know, does its own drop shadows, so you should disable the the ones in KDE and make the the Baghira one's are on.

Kjots questions ??

Perhaps you would like to ask again? Unfortunately, there's only so much questions that the people here can help with, and they don't necessarily know the answer to everything (although they do know the answer to ALMOST everything).

Wide screen monitor resolution

I think this has to be done in the X config file. I've tried adding new resolutions to mine, but they don't show up in KDE's list of resolutions. Does anyone know how to make this work?

Future of *IX gaming

Yea, the nVidia drivers aren't too user-unfriendly. Too bad they can't be installed in X though.

Baghira - Panel and system tray colour

I have this same problem with Baghira as well. However, I have not tried the latest release so I do not know if it has been fixed or not. Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon so that the system tray can look right again.

why do kde keeps kedit, when there is kwrite around

In KDE I use either KWrite or vi/vim/gvim. I have no idea why KEdit is included. In my Mandrake 10.0's KDE menu, KEdit > Simple Text Editor, KWrite > Text Editor, Kate > Advanced Text Editor.

Re: How to install Americas Army on Linux?

Quoted Original von carlwill I went to the website and downloaded what looks to be the latest full version of AA. I saved it to /home/carlwill The file is called armyops-lnx-patch-200ato210.tar.bz2 armyops-lnx-patch-200ato210.tar.bz2 That would be an upgraded, as indicated by the word patch and 200a to 210. You need to download armyops210-linux.bin and run it in the directory it's in with the command "sh armyops210-linux.bin" without the quotes.

Do you like the actual KDE Controlcenter??? (vote)

The current Control Center is far from perfect and there's plenty of room for improvement. However, I don't think that it is necessarily bad or unusable at this point. Kcontrol3 looks awesome though.

weather application?

Although this is off topic, a superkaramba taskbar just adds another taskbar to the desktop, although some have the ability to hide the kicker.

RSS feed of new posts

Like already said, if RSS is implemented, it would have to be for every forum here, and the overhead seems like it would be quite large . However, I could be wrong because I don't know all the technical details about RSS. But still, if you get an e-mail notifying you of a new post, isn't there a link to that thread? I'm sure you could at least go through a thread to find a post. After all, most of the help threads aren't that long here, only the discussion ones are.

as far as I know, there isn't a Theme Manager in KDE 3.2, although there used to be on in older versions. However, a review of KDE 3.3 I read showed a Theme Manager in one of the screenshots.
