Is it somehow possible to use tsocks in the settings -> internet & ... -> proxy -> socks dialog? I already tried dante, but I somehow can't get it to resolve hostnames ;-)
Tnx, but I already knew about this possibility ;-) I mean a solution somehow like it's implemented in fluxbox where you put your mouse over any region of the desktop :-)
Is this somehow possible with KDE 3.1.x out of the box or is there perhaps somewhere an addon for this?
http://oncode.info/include/texts.php?sect=linux&text=winkeys Perhaps this will help :-)
Do you have a Desktop directory in your Home-Directory and is there a Trash folder in it?
Nope, that wasn't the case. KDM was broken. I recompiled kdebase and it works now ;-)
What parameters did you use for compiling qt?
Does the kweather applet use the proxy set in the internet -> proxy settings?
Or perhaps a project like totem for kde
hi, i have a small problem with kdm. i have installed most of the kde3.1.1 packages with konstruct (except qt which i compiled with -xft -xrender -sm -cups -nis -thread -qt-gif ). When i now try to run kdm i get following error (kdm.log)/opt/kde3/bin/kdm_greet: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory kde is working without any problem
Is it also in your ~/Desktop directory? :-)
Great :-) This is currently the only thing that is missing for me in KDE :-)
yes. something like that is normally also caused by wrong cookie settings.
I don't stay logged in. Perhaps your cookie path in admin panel -> general admin -> configurations is wrong also the marking of all topics as read doesn't work. also probably cookie related.
I would use SIM-ICQ but I can't connect anymore
Yes, one format for all open source wordprocessors would quite a thing.
Quoted Original von Kenneth My main panel's settings carry on to any child panel's that I make, SuGa. lucky one if i for example add a background image in kde 3.1 (snapshot from last week or so) only the main panel get's this new background. my child panel still has the default background-image of the theme.
I only complain about the fact, that you can only set the background-image/color for the main panel and not for a childpanel too
i think one "Off topic" forum would be enough
