kedit sources?

After I installed KDE4 (with the newest Debian) I found kedit is missing - apparently it is no longer part of KDE, but I like it for its simplicity and dislike the alternatives for various reasons, such as the insistence on syntax highlighting and "rich text". But, this is open source, so I just need to download the sources - except I don't know where I can find them. Can somebody tell me, please?

KDE4: Where is the "position indicator"?

I have just installed KDE4 (with the latest Debian), and I am still setting up things; one of the things I can't find is the option to enable the little indicator window that you normally see when moving or resizing a window. It is something I use quite often, so I would be very disappointed if it has gone. Is it still around?

KDE4: where is the keyboard switcher?

Argh! I did something stupid, and now I can't see the neat little keyboard switcher that I used to have in the panel. How do I get it back, please?

KDE4: Drawers and other.

Hmm, I tried Ctl-F8, but it doesn't do anything; I can still right-click on the titlebar and move the window to other desktops, but I was hoping to be able to use a keyboard shortcut as before. BTW, I tried out the suggestions in your previous post - it worked! Thanks!

KDE4: Drawers and other.

Hi terry, thanks for helping. I'll try those out asap. BBTW, do you know - in kde3 I used to set up CtlF1 to CtlF9 so that they would move the active window to the respective desktop (1 - 9), something that I used quite often, but it seems to have disappeared in kde4. Probably I just have to look in another place now. Do you know where?

KDE4: Drawers and other.

I have installed KDE4 recently with the testing version of Debian, and it is mostly an improvement, but I am getting a bit annoyed. There seems to be a number of small changes that don't really make sense; to take a few: 1. There seems to be nothing like a "drawer" applet for the panel: a button in which I can place other buttons so I can group together all the office application etc 2. For some reason I can't move the buttons on the panel, so they are stuck in the order they were created; not v...

A question about fonts

This may not quite be the right place to discuss this, but where else - at least in the context of KDE? So - I want to use a font that I have made; actually, I haven't, but I have taken two TrueType fonts (hannom-a and hannom-b) and merged them (in FontForge). In total there are some 75000 glyphs, which is more than is supported by any current font format. I need this (for a certain value of "need") in order to display all Chinese characters currently supported by Unicode - I realise that for my...

Is it possible to get KDE 3 to accept another default browser?

I want to set Iceweasel as my default browser in KDE3 - but no matter what I try, it simply gets ignored. Is Konqueror hardcoded in? I have gone in to Control Center, changed the default browser in Component Chooser, which has no effect that I can tell. I have been through all MIME types in the File Associations and removed references to Konqueror - no effect. Do I have to get the source for KDE and remove a hardcoded reference somewhere? It seems bizarre that a thing like this can't simply be c...
