funny, i have KDE4 with plasmoids and all the stuff, yet many old kde 3 apps claim that i have kde3.5.10, while amarok or kate, to say, return: kde 4.2.2

How to ADD New Keyboard Shotcuts

maybe i misunderstood your question but if i got you straight, why do you need key combo shortcuts when on your keyboard you have ALREADY the 'end' key which moves the carriage at the end of the text row and the key north of that one to move the carriage at the beginning? they work and you dont need to press multiple keys. pressing the ctrl + left/right-arrow keys you can also move the cursor by steps of one word.

windows dont maximize completely.

hi, with KDE 4 on kubuntu 9.04 i am experiencing the following problem: hitting the maximize button on the window bar does not widen the window to cover the full desktop but it leaves an empty stripe of 1/4 of the screen inheight. also, the system menu does not pop up from the bottom bar but from the same point , like if the window manager thinks that the menu bar is placed three inches above the physical screen's bottom border. disabling compiz effects didn't fix the things. any hint ? thanks i...

autostart migrating fron kde3 to kde4

Yesterday I upgraded to kubuntu 9.04 which involved the migration to KDE4 and the autostart links of kde3 in ~/.kde/Autostart were still working. I also added a new one, namely ksensors, in ~/.kde/Autostart/. and it works fine too.
