How to move/configure panel?

Quoted Originally posted by tekwyzrd Quoted Originally posted by grissiom_lxy Quoted Originally posted by antares ..., add a button to show the desktop... I'm very disappointed. If someone knows how to do it, please, post it. You needn't to add the "show desktop"button. KDE4 display/compositing problem, I think

Quoted Originally posted by zerix01 Well KDE 3.5.8 never had compositing effects, they could be done by using Compiz-Fusion. .... In my KDE 3.5.8 (Kubuntu), you can transparent unfocused window, have shadow or same animation. I mistake them with composting effects... Now I switch "Compositing type" to Xrender. And it's fast! I think maybe I'm missing some options in xorg.conf....

KDE4 display/compositing problem, I think

hello, I'm using Kubuntu. I have the same problem with Kajun. In my machine (ATI Xpress 1150 IGP with fglrx properly installed), composting affects are much slower than the one in KDE3.5.8. Is this a regression?

KDE 4 review

KDE 4 review

Yes, you mentioned the Dolphin, I think the good thing that the new Dolphin missing is "open as root" and "edit as root" option in the right-click menu. It's very useful to a non-root user. And for the KWin, the transparent feature dragged my computer's legs(ATI card with fglrx installed)... But the transparent works very fine in KDE 3.5.8. And also, I have the "Unclutter Windows" button in KDE 3.5.8's task bar, it can arrange the windows for me but doesn't appear in KDE 4... I hope these featur...

Wish KDE4 more mature

Hello, in my eyes, KDE4 is only a baby now. It's not so configurable as KDE3, will KDE4 grow to a new Gnome? Oh, my God! I hope not! I've been using Gnome for 1 year and port to Kubuntu(with KDE 3.5. a month ago. In the first day I use KDE I found I love this desktop. Because it's fully configurable, have plenty of information in every app. It cares the users! But when I install the KDE4, it disappoint me somehow....So I hope the developers (you are true heroes!) could keep on the tradition! BTW...
