erm, sorry - does not work :-( the screesaver starts at the same time after i run this. but i have changed the configfile. if i re-login it workt. but not with dcop kdesktop MainApplication-Interface reparseConfiguration

no, i changed a kde-cofig-file and i want to apply these changes without a restart of kde or the usage of the kde-control-center

you have nothing to "configure" all what you want you can choose with the parameters. rsync -h or rsync --help for s small summary "man rsync" for the whole information. have a lot of fun

automount usb-storage devices synchronal

the automounting is part of the submount-deamon, isn't it? so you may have to configure your submount-deamon but i'm not sure

reload (apply) kde config files?

hi! i changed something in my ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc how can i reload/apply this configuration without a re-login or using kontrol center? i'm looking for a program which needs NO x11 ... so a commandline-baded tool. somthing like "rckde reload" thanks for all ideas
