Try this: 1. Go to Bookmarks -> Edit Bookmarks 2. Right click on the main/parent bookmarks folder and select Set as Toolbar folder 3. Right-click on it again and select Show in Toolbar. Hope that helps.

Ok that's exactly what I was referring to. Kubuntu uses System Settings by default instead of KControl, but KControl is still installed.
How did you install KDE in Ubuntu? If you installed it through the kubuntu-desktop package, you won't be able to see KControl in the K Menu, because System Settings is the default control center for Kubuntu (and for KDE 4 too).

You'd have better luck posting this in the Fedora forums. KDE does not create or distribute packages. They only create the source code, and then distributions get those and package them for their users. So the packaging system, their contents, and their descriptions is pretty much a distribution-specific matter.

Same behavior here in Kubuntu, although I can't recall that they were grouped together before anyway. Workaround? Use tabs in Konsole instead of opening new Konsole windows. Might be easier. Or better yet, use Yakuake.
Yes it is not possible to use the built-in window manager notifications because those belong to KWin, the KDE Window Manager. You can't use 2 window managers at the same time, so when you use Beryl, you lose KWin, along with any feature related to KWin, like notifications. The only possible "solution" is to use Beryl's sound notifications if it has any and use the KDE sounds for those (you will have to search which ones are which).
Source code 1 kdesu ksysguard Launches ksysguard with root privs. I think what you're asking for will be a feature in KSysGuard for KDE 4. If you try to kill a process owned by root, you will be prompted for a password. I'm really not sure though.
The default KDE icon theme is Crystal SVG. According to http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php…0257614ddd98ed, it's license is LGPL. (It's successor, the Crystal Project, is similarly LGPL: http://everaldo.com/crystal/?action=license). However, the KDE logo itself is trademarked, so that's an entirely different matter if it's being used elsewhere for some other puprose other than identifying KDE.
Right-click on the desktop, select Configure Desktop, go to Multiple Desktops, then check the "Mouse wheel over desktop background switches desktop" option. Or you could also mouse wheel over the desktop pager/previewer on the panel for the same effect.
If you read further down the page, it gives instructions on the ./configure line to use, which mentions --with-qtopia. So I'm guessing that's how you compile it. I guess it would be better to send an e-mail to the developer involved for more information. (I wish I could install even a semblance of anything Linux, Qt, or KDE on my old HTC Tanager/Qtek 7070...)
Unfortunately, that isn't possible. You can have as many K Menus, but they will all use the same configuration/setup. As an alternative for launching favorite apps quickly, you can use the Quick Launcher panel applet. Or try something like Tasty Menu, which has a section for favorites. Or you could try Katapult, a launcher (app, bookmark, document, etc) in the style of Quicksilver for Mac OS X.
