kmix grabbed volume keys -- how to get them back?

so, i have a run of the mill kde installation with a microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro, which has a bunch of extra keys on top. I know i can assign them to do interesting things in the control center, but the volume keys have already been taken, by kMix. when i push one of them, a nice big grey box pops up on my screen and shows my volume changing. what's weird is that i can't find the kmix binding specified anywhere (in the control center). i want to take back my volume keys and use them for somet...

Typing partial filename doesn't jump in Konqueror [solved]

For some reason Konqueror has gone on the fritz for me... typing the first few letters of a filename no longer jumps to that file. E.g. if I have a file "pojo todo.txt" and I start to type in pojo, it should jump there... but it doesn't. I have noticed some keys seem to be bound to certain actions, like 'd' cycles through directores. Um... what? ....this just in.... In doing research for this post I realized that I had sorted my directory by filetype, which makes a lot of sense to me, but that's...

konqueror file manager bugs

although you're right that this is the "logical" thing to do i personally think its bad design. the reason is that i often want to zoom all the way to the bottom/top/left/right of the window i am in by holding down whatever key -- now i can't do that. also, sometimes you get this arrangement: [code:1] --Window-------- - - - 1 2 3 - - - - 4 5 6 - - - - 7 8 9 - ---------------- 0 [/code:1] That is very bad ASCII art where you are looking at a file window and each number is a file. i too have this problem. just replying to bump the topic also i sure wish there was a "protocol status" section on the homepage that listed each protocol and whether the plugin was supposed to be working

key repeat on vnc

with vnc on kde 3.2, i often get weird behavior in that some keys are repeated several times. e.g. i would write hello how are you and it would come out hellooo how aaaare you anyone else seeing this?
