Is just me or KDE is going a-la-Windows & sluggish?

KDE is Great ! Windows sucks, I jsut came from it After experiencing some Vista horrors, Linux is my choice. I like KDE more than Gnome because it is well designed and lots of good programs out of the box for productivity.

firefox / kde: "open with"-menu does not work properly

Whatever that meant, I still cannot get Open and Open Containing folder in Firefox I am even getting used to not using this feature at all.

Please tell me more about this mime feature? I ma just a noob. I have Kubuntu 6.10 and KDE 3.5.6 and Firefox 2.0.1 "update-desktop-files" does not work for me. Please help.

Sorry, I am new to this and have no idea where to post features requests. I really hope that the next update for Knetwork Manager will allow it to remember wireless ppasswords without the need of Kwallet. I think that there should be an option which allows users to choose if they want to enter password every time or not. I wish Knetwork Manager could be like in Ubuntu Gnome, you enter WPA password once and from there on it connects automatically every time you log in in the future.

Katapult feature request

I am moving from Windows to Linux - Kubuntu and one of the things I really miss in Linux is this small open source program: http://www.launchy.net/ It is so far superior to Katapult and yet very small. For example in Katapult I have to type in half of the name before the program gets recognized. In launchy all I had to do was press S (for skype) and it would list all the programs starting with S, I would choose Skype once and from there on, next time I wanted to launch Skype, I would just press ...
