"ksycoca" : a file location and links

Hi, I have installed KDE 3.4.2-0 running on Fedora 3. On a "user" account some kde applications do not run. For instance, "kompare" gives an error message "Could not find our KompareViewPart". "kompare" : what settings does it need

Hi, I have installed KDE 3.4.2-0 running on Fedora 3. My question is about the proper system and/or KDE configuration to use the application "Kompare". When I run it as a "root", it works properly. When I run it as a "user", it does not work, the ERROR - KOMPARE message "Could not find our KompareViewPart" comes instead. Can anybody advice how to modify properly the system/KDE configuration files? What files, what variables? Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------...
