konqueror and small google window popup

I've just upgraded to konqueror 3.2.3 and now konq opens a small window for google searches. I find this incredibly irritating/distracting but I can't figure out how to turn it off.

I figure its related to the web shortcuts settings. I disabled those, and when that didn't work I deleted all of the predefined shortcuts - but I'm still in popup hell.

I give up, how do I stop the popup shortcut window?

I don't have an answer for you, but why didn't you upgrade to kde 3.3.1 instead???
