KDE 3.3 and screensaver..

I ran into an issue when I first installed KDE 3.3 but didn't really get around to it until now. Here is the issue.

Upon installing KDE 3.3 (from 3.2.3), the kontrol screensaver dialog shows zero (0) screensavers while xscreensaver works fine. I also had to enable xscreensaver in order for my screensaver to kick in at the specified elapse time.

My fix was this. I deleted ~./config/menu/applications-kmenuedit.menu. I went as far as editing the original as to clean up dead links, unistalled program links, etc but nothing seemed to work... except deleting it and starting from scratch.

Is this an upgrade bug? Any thoughts?
