2 questions: aKregator, file tips

Hello,
I have Mandrake 10, and KDE 3.2.

I have aKregator 1.0-beta5, installed from the Mandrake 10 RPM.
My question is how can I disable aKregator from starting up on login in?

My 2nd question is in regard to file tip in Konqueror.
In Konqueror, if you go to Configure Konqueror... and under Behavior there is a checkbox for "show file tips" and "show previews in file tips".
For some reason, even when I have "show previews in file tips" unchecked, but "show file tips" checked, it still shows the preview. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug? How can I just jave the file tips on, so it displays the little yellow popup w/ file info, but no preview.

Thanks,

Latem

String s = formatter.format(x);
for (int i = s.length(); i < 10; i++) System.out.print(' ');
System.out.print(s);

I,

As far as I know there are only two ways that make akregator be started at statup. Or it was running when you logged out, or it is started by a startup script "kde autostart". So quit from akregator (make sure that it doesn't stay in the tray but is really closed) and check ~/.kde/Autostart/ to see if akregator is started from there.

About the tooltips...no problem here. The behaviour here (kde 3.2.2) is as expected.

thanks for the reply.

All that is in the Autostart directory is a text file .directory:

What should be in this folder?
I usually do quit it before logging out, but I think sometimes it still comes up. I'll experiment more, and pay attention.

EDIT:
Ok I just figured out the file tips issue. If you have "use thumbnails embedded in files" checked (in Previes & meta data), then file tips behave how I described. If that is off, then they behave as expected. I am not sure if this is the intended behaivour, as in the embedded preview setting overrides the file tips setting.
