Applying patches for KDE 3.2.2 on Solaris

Where can I get specific instructions on applying the patches from http://ftp.plig.org/pub/kde/stable/3.2.2/contrib/Solaris/8/patches directory using xdelta. Whatever information I've found has been vague since I'm not familiar with the procedures or what exactly the expected output should be.
