Novell entered into an agreement to buy SuSE Linux for $210 Million (US) today. In related news, Novell also announced that IBM intends to make a $50 million investment in Novell convertible preferred stock.

And IBM is getting into the act as well...
"Microsoft does not innovate. It buys, imitates, or steals. It makes things difficult for software developers, and thus eventually for users."
