Starting with KDE 4 - First infos about

With aKademy we will get informations about KDE 4/next edition and plans. But KDE-Forum will present here and there some pre-views on plans.

Feature plan: http://developer.kde.org/development-ver…0-features.html
At the moment the movement of unfinished todos/ideas of KDE 3.3 and some new ideas but at the moment I cannot see real new features.

Older news but interesting for the future: kcontrol3 (http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-usability&m=107758048305856&w=2). You can see a few links. My wish would be a windows-like design because of better overview and better possibility for third-party control panels.

The probably new base for development is Qt 4:

My ideas for KDEs future is an research website with a big summary (I meanted that often here in the forum in the last time) and a big summarize of the KDE improvements (ideas) (http://kdelook.org/index.php?xcontentmode=37) and pick there out the best ones and add them to the summary so users can decide about them. This is in my eyes the best way to get the best ideas and features for KDE 4 and getting it maybe the best desktop ever before the release of Longhorn with better features then Longhorn. (that is my deam) And I would like to create maybe here a KDE 4 section for discussion!

I don't know if I some developers can publicate this on aKademy or somewhere else - I will try to post this on the DOT.
