Multiple sound devices but no sound in KDE

Hi...
I reconfigured my kernel to recognise an MPU401 midi chip as well as my Intel 810 sound chip (nforce 2 chipset on an asus n7v8x deleuxe board).

When KDE starts it says that there is no sound device. How do I tell KDE to use "sound-slot-1" which is where the Intel sound processor is?

Cheers,
Phil.

Go into the Control Centre -> Sound & Multimedia -> Sound System
Click on the tab "Hardware", enable "Override Device Location", then type in the name of the device (it might be something like snd-0 or snd-1).

Hope this helps,
Manuel
