How can I use 4 speakers in Linux Mandrake 9.0?? Help please

Hi,

I've got a "speaker set", with: 4 speakers, a "black box for the bass"(I forgot the name ), and a "Sound Blaster Live!" sound card. Under Win I can use the 4 speakers, but under linux the 2 speakers of the front are the only ones who are working :( ... How can I use my 4 speakers under Linux Mandrake 9.0(with KDE 3.0.3)??
Pleas help me.
Thanks a lot for all the help that you can give :D.
Bye, and see you later.

You can always buy those connecters that branch off to multiple ones...then connect your other speakers to those.

you will need sound drivers with support for 4 channels as per your sound card. Try looking at Creative's website for Linux drivers??

Did I made something wrong when doing my research???
His there another way???
Please help me.
Thanks a lot for your help :D.

Drivers for your soundcard can be found there: http://freshmeat.net/projects/emu10k1linuxdriver/?topic_id=155.

I use them with my SBLive! 5.1/Creative Inspire 5300 and everything works just fine for me.

Hi,
the driver is in the kernel. It's calles emu10k1. But as you already can here something the hardware already works.
I use the audigy player with a 5+1 system and it works fine. Only if I listen to CD's I have only 2 speakers like you.
There is a way to enable all speakers, but I forgot the url. Try to search at forums.gentoo.org. I found a solution there. (I didn't try it, too lazy  )
