Animated GIF's as wallpaper

Windows 2000 can do it. Can KDE 3.1.x? Mine just shows a single frame of the GIF, w/o animating it.

Sound like a good idea, but.........

The best thing I like about linux is that its faster than my windoze box.

If you start adding lots of animations you would just be turning your linux box into a windoze clone.

And I can't belive anyone would want to do that.

Have you posted a suggestion to the feedback part of this forum?

Then again it would look cool to have a nice ani gif running in the background. I may be converted if it can be done and looks good. :D

I will have to watch out for this one.

Point well taken. But Linux does manage memory better than Windows, so it might not make too much of a performance hit. Maybe a Karamba theme could do the trick with less work. I'll try the feedback section. Thanks!

Yes I am, but we all know that it's geek style , hmmmm not sure :
some year ago I've seen it made by someone who said that it wasn't an animated gif but a script.

Where can we find the script/code ?
