A music recorder for Mandrake/KDE3.1

Hello All,

In a past distro of Mandrake, 8.2 I *think*... I had a recorder setup on the desktop that recorded whatever was coming from the sound card. I could start a d/l and while XMMS was loading its buffer I had time to click on the recorder Icon and put it into record mode. Life was great! :-)

Now, after a few distros I can no longer find that program or remember what it was! ('Cause I'm OLD!) I am presently using Mandrake 9.2.

Not Krec as that presents a nightmare to run down all the loose ends.

I would surely be grateful if someone could give me hint as to what that little program was....
