Preloading KDE

I'm not sure which board this should go in, as none are appropriate, so I'll stick it in "Desktopia" :)

A while back on kde-look somebody posted a guide to preloading KDE in KDM. This meant that while you sat at KDM, maybe typing in your password, various kde components were being loaded in the background; when you then logged in, KDE would also be half preloaded, so it would start up much faster.

I can't find this tip any more... does anyone else know how you can preload KDE components in the background, without starting up KDE, or even X? (since I don't use an X-based login system, and I would like to load bits of KDE without X loading).

Hey, Why doesn't anybody answer!? I'm interested in that feature, too!
Expect the worst, it's the least you can do.

Bump for being too good of a topic for no discussion. Prelinking kde and then preloading it would really improve productivity. =]
